1961 - Setal-Koppers Engenharia e Montagens Industriais S.A is formed by the association of American company Koppers and the Sampaio Group.
1969 - Setal associates with The Lummus Company, a company from the Combustion Engineering Inc. Group internationally known for the most advanced technology in the petrochemical area.
1989 - Setal Lumus becomes part of the ABB - Asea Brown Boveri conglomerate from Zurich, Switzerland - with the acquisition of Combustion Engineering and its affiliates by ABB.
1995 - Pem Engenharia S.A assumes control of the company, which is called Setal Engenharia e Construções S.A.
1995 - Pem Engenharia - oriented towards the installation of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, associates with Setal Construções, specialized in upstream and downstream EPC projects and already with a strong position in the market. The Pem Setal Group is then born, formed by six companies oriented towards different market segments.
1997 - Setal Construções is awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Approval Certificate.
